Albury Galvanizing goes to TAFE
This month and next month Tilo Schmidt, our General Manager will present the latest information about galvanizing to Wodonga TAFE second and third year metal trades apprentices.
Tilo will share his broad engineering experience and metallurgy knowledge with the apprentices.
“It’s really important for the design and fabricating industries they enter, that they know about galvanizing. It’s also valuable for us to spread the word that as the galvanizing company, we can assist with design and advice if they find they need it in their jobs,” he said.
“My presentation covers the basic chemistry of how galvanizing works as well as the steps in the galvanizing process and how to design items large and small so they can be successfully galvanized.”
“We are interested in supporting young people heading into the manufacturing industries in the region and want to be involved and contribute to regional skills development.”
